My Vases!!

Many of you know that I like to build in SL, for me is relaxing and a way to create things!!. When I came to the first time to Second Life I had no idea how to build, shapes for me were confusing and how to match them to each other was like to mix oil and water. With the time I met a girl who was a great builder and watching her how she did wonderful things and for my side practicing here and there I learned a lil bit. Yes it is funny but at the same time you need patience, precision, some artistic view and to know how to move your camera!. Cally my friend has a great fight with it LOL.

A few weeks ago I was thinking if I could build a vase to decorate houses. Honestly it was not easy because I had no idea how to do it. First of all you visualize the entire vase but when you go to your edit display and see your shapes  the first phrase is 'and now? what the heck?' hahaha, yeah!!, there are only a few basic shapes!!!: a cube, sphere, cylinder, ring and tore. You can see more there but they come from  the past 5 shapes (I wont talk about sculpts). When you build it is necessary to play with shapes at the beginning, that is when you are learning and seeing what each thing is, and later with a lil bit of imagination you spend hours doing your stuff.

Here is the first vase with mexican texture. I took an old picture from a mural and set it on it. It looks cute, with color and it could be in any house who likes this kind of designs. Mexican stuff is warm, friendly and gives a great sensation of home, your own home.

This one is with stucco. It is a lovely one and you can set tropical plants on it. Looks great in beaches, tikki houses, gardens or folklorics ones. If you click on it you will appreciate the texture it is really great!!.

The next two vases are mexican styles too but the difference is the design. One is in pink the other in blue. They look really great where you have a chimney, flowers, plants, in one word: with the nature. They are my first vases and I love them.

If anyone has an idea of any other texture that is cute or could go fine with these vases  you can tell me. I like to learn about other cultures too so  I would love to try it!!.

I will build more designs soon, probably with a japanese texture and other with a middle age one. It is great to do decorations so you need to ask!!.

That's all folks!!

The John Butler Trio

The John Butler Trio!!!

Lets talk about a great band that I have discovered a few years a ago reading an online newspaper in Mexico. I was looking for a video about dont know what when I saw the latest releases in CDs and saw this guy with a guitar. I should say that in the first instance I said 'he looks cute' LOL, yes and decided to hear the song that it was there: Zebra. From the first sound I thought 'wow sounds good, the kind of music I like' and it was true a real funky sound!!!. I should say that all of them are great in their instruments but John Butler is really, really great in his guitar, if he was not a 'peace and love' guy I think I could fell in love of him!! LOL.

Mr. John Butler!!

The JBT was formed in 1998 in Australia and it is a jam band. If you like to hear an eclectic band you should hear this one, obviously, some are not so good but the most, at least for me, have a strong sound, rythm, make you dance and sing. For your information I will include a board that was found in wikipedia:

Fuka Congrejo

Yes, I know, I have been out for a lot period of time and before to write this post I had to clean all the dust accumulated on my site! LOL. Many things have happened in my life these days but I would like to continue with my blog.

So after of my apologies lets start to talk about a person I have met in Cally's bday party: Fuka Congrejo.

She is a Dj in SL and it is fair to say that she is a really good one. The kind of music she plays is Indie although she can play all kind and not many Djs can get their public in a great mood. But what is her power? why is she a really good Dj?. There could more reasons that I will post here but for me these ones are important (a latin point of view of course).

a) She enjoys what she does.
b) She is very funny.
c) She has a good taste of music.
d) She knows what the public likes

Many Dj's have good music but just a few know what to play for people and she is one of the last ones: you always enjoy her sets!.

If you want to enjoy and have a good time look for this japanese girl!!!.

Aggie =)
